Committees

One of the best leadership development opportunities in the YLC is to actually help run the organization by serving on one of the YLC's standing committees.

Development Committee

The Development Committee helps engage community stakeholders to support the organization through fundraising events, corporate memberships, and annual giving campaigns. The committee meets quarterly, starting in late January-early February. To join, you only need to have a willingness to learn about fundraising! Interested in joining? Email the VP of Development, Laura Meagher, at development@ylcnola.org.

Community Engagement Committee

The Community Engagement Committee plans monthly committee meetings, new member orientations (called JumpStarts), manages YLC hands-on projects, and organizes social events. The committee meets each month to plan events and discuss new ways to engage and recruit YLC members, as well as to increase and improve YLC's impact on the community. Interested in joining this committee? Email the VP of Community Engagement, Damian Clark, at engagement@ylcnola.org

Leadership Committee

The Leadership Committee oversees YLC Leadership programming, such as Leadership Luncheons, Mentorship program, Leadership Development Series, and supports YLC in improving the Leadership continuum. The committee meets monthly. Interested in joining this committee? Email the VP of Leadership, Leo John Arnett, at leadership@ylcnola.org

Fleurish Committee

The Fleurish Committee plans personal and communal events that benefit the collective wellness of the city. The committee is open to all YLC members. They meet monthly at the YLC office and virtually for those who cannot meet in person. Interested? Email the project leaders at fleurish@ylcnola.org
